The Bay Area Muslim Mental Health Crisis Response Team is comprised of a group of mental health providers in the Greater Bay Area of California. The crisis response team is a resource that provides support around events that impact the community and require broader mental health support. This includes incidents of unexpected loss that impact a community, or situations in the larger society that may impact the community's mental health and well-being.
Our team is ready to respond in the aftermath of an event that causes significant emotional distress for community members. Our goal is to provide education, empowerment, and support to community groups in times of crisis.
The crisis response team provides community-based services and not individual crisis response services.
If you or someone you know needs immediate assistance, call 911.
Services provided:
- Community based crisis support groups
- Education and empowerment
- Community events and informational workshops
- Resources and referrals
If you feel your community has faced a crisis, or would like to inquire about scheduling a community meeting, please send an email to [email protected]
